If you ever search online for information about LS Tractors, there is a high probability that you will run across content created by CJ Drake. Also known as “The LS Tractor Guy”, CJ is the founder of Mallard 5 (+1) Farmhouse & Homestead, a YouTube Channel designed to highlight the day to day work on his family farm, and how he uses LS Tractors for various jobs and tasks. CJ filmed a lot of personal LS Tractor content, which led to a partnership with LS as a Brand Ambassador. This allows him to test new tractor models on his channel, as well as provide feedback to the company.

CJ, raised in the country, wanted to share that lifestyle with his family. They found their dream property in 2016 which included a 108-year-old Ohio farmhouse, 50 acres of land, and a lot of future potential. With so much renovation and land maintenance to be done, CJ knew he had to purchase a tractor. Both his father and uncle owned LS Tractors, but CJ did his own research on various brands to find a good tractor at a good price. To no surprise, CJ’s research led him to the same brand and same dealer as his dad and uncle, and at the end of summer in 2017, he bought his first LS Tractor, the XR4040.

After the LS Tractor purchase, CJ decided to start his own YouTube Channel. He noticed there were not a lot of videos about LS Tractors, and that did not make sense to him since both his father and uncle liked their LS Tractors and had no issues with them. “That’s when I told myself I will film myself working with mine, and whatever happens I will show it,” said CJ. At that time, he and his wife had 3 daughters, so he named his channel, Mallard 5 Farmhouse. The goal was to be honest and take everyone along to show them what they did on the farm with their LS Tractor. After several years of footage working with hay bales, firewood, giant pumpkins, chicken keeping, and renovations, in 2023 they welcomed a surprise son to the family, changing the farm name to Mallard 5 (+1) Farmhouse. Today, the channel has 34.5K dedicated subscribers, who have consistently watched the family of 6 build their dream house and farm.

CJ posts a wide variety of content centered around his LS Tractor. “My XR4040 has done everything I’ve asked it to.” CJ gave a long list of jobs his tractor had tackled: Brush hogging, transporting firewood, gravel work, tilling, moving giant pumpkins, leveling ground, moving a 900-pound wood stove to their basement, and their most recent project, cutting and baling hay. CJ says, “A goal of mine when we moved to our farm was to make our own hay. We achieved that this year by using my XR4040.” CJ bought a 5-foot drum mower, a landscape rake, and a square baler. His LS Tractor ran them all, and they were able to put their own hay in their barn for the very first time! After using his tractor for 8 years, CJ testifies that the price and features are what sold him on his tractor, but now the proven reliability is a huge bonus.

After posting lots of videos using his personal tractor, LS contacted CJ to express their appreciation, and asked to partner with him, to which he was excited to reply, “Yes!”. Over the years, LS has provided CJ with 6 other LS Tractors on the farm to use. This opportunity to be involved with the testing of multiple tractors has transformed his YouTube channel to become a place to watch all kinds of LS Tractors in action. There are playlists dedicated to each specific model of LS Tractor CJ has worked with on his farm. LS truly listens to and values CJ’s feedback and recommendations. The partnership with LS Tractor has been life changing for CJ. “I don’t just feel like a guy who makes videos. I feel like I am part of LS. Not only has our experience with LS Tractor been great for us and our channel, but the relationships that have come with it have been great.” CJ shared that having the opportunity to attend multiple dealer conferences and farm shows have been fun, and he has built lifelong friendships and connections from these experiences.

The real day to day life filming of these tractors give testimony to the versatility and dependability of LS Tractors. Currently, CJ is making videos testing the MT473. He is having a blast with this model and says it’s a tractor he could definitely see himself upgrading to in the future. LS dealer Brian Switzer understands this, and his commitment to not only customers, but all LS Tractor owners, is impeccable.

Brian Switzer Equipment opened in 1991 and is located in Trumansburg, New York. Brian began the business selling lawn mowers and servicing tractors. Brian says, “I was born on a tractor in 1960”, and spent his childhood on a dairy farm. Tractors have always been part of Brian’s way of life and he is proud to have carried the LS Tractor brand since 2013. Brian is the owner of the business and has worn all the hats for over 30 years. Today he does most of the sales, while his son, Cody, has taken over the service side of the business. The father-son duo not only run the equipment business together, but also farm 350 acres of hay as a team. They believe strongly in the LS Tractor brand, and practice what they preach. Brian has owned 3 LS Tractors, even putting over 600 hours on a previous MT573 before trading up to the MT774. He says all of them have been good tractors, and using them on his farm gives him even more knowledge and experience to pass along to customers.

Brian Switzer Equipment has a rock-solid reputation for quality and service. He consistently takes time to communicate by phone and social media groups answering questions and assisting LS Tractor owners and potential customers with their machines. Brian also added a parts room at the business location where he stocks a large supply of parts to have on hand for faster service. He is currently looking into building a new shop so he can convert the current shop into more showroom space.

Brian is not only valued by his customers, but is also a respected leader in the LS Tractor dealer community. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Dealer Council for LS Tractor. This council consists of special dealers who are selected to represent the entire dealer network. Each council member represents their territory, and it’s their job to communicate important information to dealers in their area, as well as share questions and concerns that dealers have in the territory with corporate. Brian’s dependability, integrity, and experience with LS Tractors make him the ideal leader and member of this important group.

LS Tractor is committed to building superior machines that are reliable and affordable. But did you know they also benefit customers by providing high quality service training to dealer technicians as well? The LS Tractor Parts and Service Department offers various service trainings across the United States and Canada throughout the year to equip local dealer service staff with the latest knowledge and skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain our tractors and related equipment.

Many LS Tractor dealers send technicians to our trainings in order to learn and invest in excellent service. LS Tractor service training courses involve a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience. These courses cover a wide range of topics including prevention maintenance, basic repairs, all operating systems, diagnostics and accurate troubleshooting. This training is beneficial for technicians to ensure safe operations and efficient service for our customers.

So far in 2025, LS Corporate Training Technicians have already provided five 3-day trainings, and more trainings are already scheduled through October of this year. Our service department has service managers all over the U.S. and Canada to support dealers and provide the training resources they need. This year, we are offering two training themes: Start Blue and Stay Blue.

Start Blue training incorporates the following subject matter:

• Dealer portal navigation
• Electrical diagnosis and strategy
• Emissions systems
• Engine training
• Accurate troubleshooting
• Transmission systems (hydrostatic transmissions, power shuttle systems, power shuttle transmissions)
• MT2 updates
• A/C Systems
• EVCI
• Test review and final assessment

So far this year, there have been four sessions of Start Blue trainings held in Missouri, Massachusetts, Alabama, and Quebec, Canada. These trainings included participants representing 31 dealerships across 14 states and 2 providences in Canada. Several more of these trainings are scheduled through summer and fall of this year.

Stay Blue training incorporates the following subject matter:

• Advanced Diagnostics
• Engine tear down
• MT1 transmissions
• PSS Pressure check and calibration
• MT3 Diagnostic and troubleshooting
• Test review and final assessment

The Stay Blue training was offered in Battleboro, N.C. in January, and hosted participants from 14 different dealers in 8 states. More of these trainings are in the works with dates to be announced.

Service training is beneficial to our customers so that dealer technicians understand all parts of our tractors, their functions, and how they interact. Andrew Blackburn, LS Tractor Service Manager and Service Trainer says, “Training is very important to me, and the most important part is to set a solid foundation for dealers to succeed and grow.” It is important that we provide training for dealership staff to ensure they can effectively service and repair their product. The hands-on training experience is crucial for performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting common problems, and making repairs. Participants in service training develop enhanced skills to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues as well as how to address specific complications. At the conclusion of the 3-day training, each technician undergoes a test review and then takes a final assessment where the highest scoring technician is recognized. We appreciate all dealership technicians who have already attended one of our trainings, and look forward to educating many more throughout the year.

LS Tractor is excited to continue honoring women leaders in the agriculture industry. In April, we would like to recognize Christy McInnis, the president and majority owner of Construction Sales and Service, Inc. This LS Tractor dealership has two locations, one in Andalusia, Alabama and one in Crestview, Florida. Christy is continuing her father’s legacy handling sales for both locations, as well as day to day operations in Crestview.

For as long as she can remember, Christy’s father, Donald Ferguson, worked in the agricultural equipment field. When he returned from the Army in 1969, two years after she was born, he worked as a “clean-up” guy and worked himself up through multiple ranks of service and sales until he and a partner eventually opened their own business, Construction Sales and Service, Inc. in Valparaiso, Florida. At this time, the business was a road development/construction equipment sales company. When Donald’s partner passed in 1994, Donald became 100% owner, and moved the business to Crestview, Florida where the company took on an agricultural equipment focus, but the original name remained Construction Sales and Service, Inc. Donald initially carried the Massey Ferguson tractor line, and when LS Tractor first entered the United States in 2009, he was one of the first dealers to sign with them. Customers who were coming in to purchase Massey Ferguson tractors were soon buying LS Tractors instead. Construction Sales and Service, Inc. (CSS) was one of the top LS dealers at that time.

During those years, Christy’s career path was quite different from where she is today. Christy grew up having a large extended family in Athens, Georgia, and she spent summers and holidays at her grandmother’s home which was surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland. In some regard, agriculture is all she’s ever known. However, Christy had a deep-rooted yearning to help people, and decided to pursue a career in education. For 30 years, she worked in the education field as an English teacher, school administrator, district administrator, and a national education consultant. In 2017 while consulting part-time, Christy went to her father’s office in Crestview to assist with several government contracts to see if she could help win some awards, and she never left. She not only wrote government contracts, but also assisted with general sales and gradually developed into a leadership role. In 2018 she gave up education consulting altogether, and her father gave her 51% of the shares of the company. CSS became a certified woman owned small business, where Christy is now president, and her father is vice president, owning the other 49% of the business. In 2021 they invested in an opportunity to purchase property in Andalusia, Alabama, about 50 miles north of the original Crestview business location. The stars aligned, and after much reconstruction and renovation, they opened their second store in February, 2022. Christy’s father is now 83 years old, and still remains an active employee as service manager for both stores, with time spent mainly at the Andalusia location. Christy currently handles sales at both locations, and day-to-day operations in Crestview. Though Christy does not serve in public education or consult any longer, she likes to believe her background is what makes her even better at what she does now.

For Christy, educating others about equipment, especially first-time tractor buyers, is a joy. Christy stated, “I always tell customers that I hope they’ll end up purchasing with us because of who we are, what we believe and do, and our commitment to them. At the end of the day, I want them to leave our store more knowledgeable than they were before entering so that they can use that information as they continue to shop around at other stores and with other brands. I’m glad that most of them end up coming back and purchasing with us because of the time I spend with them. I still think of it as having a great impact on learning.” Christy shared that the transition from education to the ag industry was a natural one. She loves learning, and sees herself as a lifelong learner. In this industry, there is something new to learn every day. She has been very fortunate to learn from her father, a very respected man in the equipment industry. Christy and her father are very relationship oriented, and believe that relationships are the center of all things, good and bad. Building long lasting relationships and having a positive impact in some way every day is everything their business is about.

Christy and Donald’s relationships with customers have certainly created two successful and reputable businesses, but LS Tractors have several best-selling features as well. According to Christy, “The fact that LS Tractors come with more standard features than most manufacturers’ tractors on the market makes them an all-around great choice.” She loves to share with potential customers that LS is going to excel in overall operating weight, loader lift capacity and hydraulic flow, which are key factors when considering which tractor is right for you. Another big plus is that on hydrostatic transmission models, there is less operator fatigue when pushing the forward and reverse pedals because they are very smooth and easy to depress. Christy wants everyone to know that LS is a very reliable tractor providing a quality machine at a great value. That is something everyone appreciates. “When LS does national advertising, it helps the brand to grow and helps us grow, but it isn’t just about the advertising. It truly comes back to how customers feel about the equipment and the level of support they get from us. When customers are happy with their tractor and the support they get, that word-of-mouth spreads and we grow.”

Construction Sales and Service, Inc. is now a two-generation business. “People are the heart of everything we do” is how their Mission, Vision, and Core Values document begins. People appreciate that Christy and her father do whatever it takes to help them decide which tractor is best for them. They take care of all the paperwork that is usually dreaded when buying anything new. “We do what we say we are going to do, and we are going to make sure customers get the support they deserve once they take their new tractor home”, Christy says. Their customers truly become part of their family when they shop at their business, and they know they can reach out to them at any time with questions about their tractor. The vision of their business is to be an “industry provider of quality agricultural equipment, parts, and service with uncompromising excellence in customer care and support before, during and after a sale”. This vision statement is the ultimate goal of the business moving forward.

Christy continues to have strong feelings about promoting women in the agriculture industry. She has taken an active role in the National School Board Association on their leadership council, and just returned from Washington, DC where she promoted women in small businesses and the issues they are facing in hopes to gain more support from congress. Christy was also asked to serve on the EDA Women in Industry Leadership Council. On Christy’s desk sits a rectangular wooden block that is painted white, and on each side, a different motivational group of words is printed. Here are a few that define Christy’s beliefs about women in the ag industry, and words by which she lives:

• I can and I will
• Anything but ordinary
• Never be like the rest of them
• Dream big

In essence, women can be and are as much of a knowledgeable resource in this industry as men. Christy said she is proud to be a woman in the ag industry, and she’s even prouder to work alongside her father and learn from him. “I’ve been blessed to stumble upon this and never imagined this is what I would do in my later years, but I am blessed and thankful for the opportunity to educate new buyers of land and equipment, and to be able to show them why shopping with us is a wonderful choice.”

The 58th Annual World Ag Expo took place from February 11th – 13th, 2025 at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California. The theme for this year’s 3-day event was “Paving the Way for Ag and Technology”. Recognized as the world’s largest annual agricultural exposition, the show featured over 1,200 exhibitors unveiling cutting edge technology and equipment across 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. The expo attracted around 100,000 attendees from 49 states and over 70 countries. This provided the perfect platform for networking, education, and business opportunities in the agricultural sector.

A highlight of the expo was the announcement of the Top-10 New Products for 2025, selected by a panel of farmers, ranchers, and industry professionals. These innovators, ranging from simple solutions to advanced technologies, were prominently showcased throughout the event. Along with these awards, two high school students were highlighted as recipients of individual $10,000 scholarships, which have been awarded since 2007 to select students who plan to attend a four-year college or university to major in an agricultural field. These types of recognitions demonstrate the expo’s support for agriculture, and continued dedication to our youth and product innovators, who make up our future leaders in the agricultural industry.

In addition to the exhibitions, the World Ag Expo offered various attractions, including educational seminars, live demonstrations, and agricultural tours. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in agriculture, engage with industry experts, and experience a diverse array of food options provided by over 30 non-profit food vendors. Such a large event also had a significant economic impact on the local community, with local businesses experiencing increased patronage during the week.

LS Tractor was proud to showcase a dozen tractors at the World Ag Expo, showing all of our models from 22HP all the way up to 101HP. LS Tractor spanned booths P37 and P39, where it was a pleasure for employees and dealers to connect with the agriculture community visiting the show. Representatives from the following three California dealerships were present at the LS booths:

• Pete and Sons (Dinuba, California)
• Wholesale Equipment (Fresno, California)
• Tan Oak Tractor Sales (Paso Robles, California)

Visitors were curious to find out more about their local LS dealers, where LS Tractors are made, how long they have been around, and the applicable implements we carry. Customers appreciated having dealers present to discuss pricing on models and to learn about the exclusive show discounts.

California continues to be a great location for this annual event as it produces a variety of at least 350 crops, which help feed our entire nation. Policy makers, farmers, and innovative technology are all part of the agriculture industry, and they must work together to produce and distribute the food we eat. As the industry evolves, events like the World Ag Expo are vital to fostering innovation and educating the next generation of agricultural leaders. LS Tractor is a proud contributor to the agricultural industry, and we look forward to joining the World Ag Expo again in February of 2026.

In February, LS Tractor was well represented at the 59th annual National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) in Louisville, Kentucky. The four-day show was held in the Kentucky Exposition Center from Wednesday, February 12 – Saturday, February 15, 2025. With free admission, the event attracted over 300,000 attendees and hosted more than 800 exhibitors. The event covers 27 acres of show space, and is known for being the largest indoor farm show in the United States. Nearly every major line of farming equipment was on display, including LS Tractor.

LS Tractor had 7 of our models on display at our booth, along with brochures and information about each tractor. There were lots of families, farmers and children in attendance as the annual event is open to the public. We had a busy few days talking to farmers, potential customers, and people interested in learning more about LS Tractors and what makes our tractors stand out among the best. According to April Morgan, LS Tractor Brand Specialist, some of the reasons LS Tractor are the best include:

• Cost effective option – more features for lower cost compared to other brands
• Reliable performance
• Strong warranty

The LS Tractor booth was an exciting place to visit and learn as participants were able to view and sit on a variety of tractor models, network with LS Tractor representatives and owners, and receive giveaway merchandise such as our legendary large bags, hats, stickers, and more. Both professional and recreational farmers from across North America as well as international countries visited our booth. The central location of this farm show makes it popular to attend as it is accessible to both farm equipment manufacturers and dealers.

Other highlights of the NFMS included educational seminars and workshops, product launches, and in-depth demonstrations. The event showcased some of the latest advancements in agricultural equipment with expert insights to help farmers explore new solutions, technology, and best practices. For entertainment, Freedom Hall hosts the Championship Tractor Pull, which is the nation’s longest running indoor tractor pull. Over 190 of the best drivers are invited annually to compete, and this year, the prize pool exceeded $300,000! U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Brook Rollins, also visited the NFMS and the tractor pull on Friday, February 14th.

Anticipation is already building at LS Tractor for the 60th NFMS next year. Mark your calendars to attend from February 11 – February 14, 2026. You won’t be disappointed!

The 2025 Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA) Conference and Trade Show took place in San Diego, California from February 3rd – 6th, 2025. The event featured new product launches, latest technology, demonstrations, interactive education, and networking opportunities for over 11,000 golf industry professionals. The San Diego Convention Center welcomed 464 exhibitors, and 6,700 seminar seats were filled. The conference was appropriately preceded by the GCSAA Golf Championship, February 1st – 3rd, where more than 600 golfers competed across four San Diego golf courses. Several awards and acknowledgements were recognized over the course of the event, and Paige Alms, a two-time world champion big wave surfer, was featured as the keynote speaker.

LS Tractor was very excited to participate in a different type of trade show. Of course, we have a lot to offer to the farming industry, but there are other industries that benefit from our tractors as well. Golf courses are known for their pristine appearance and maintenance, and this requires a lot of behind-the-scenes work. This work, and the equipment used, is supervised and managed by golf course superintendents.

A golf course superintendent oversees daily operations related to turf grass care, irrigation, pest control, and landscaping. Their primary goal is to ensure that the course is in excellent condition. They develop and implement maintenance plans, which include a fleet of equipment, to provide high quality playing surfaces for golfers. GCSAA attendees understand that tractors play a key role in improving the health and quality of the course. Tractors are used on golf courses to mow fairways, spray pesticides, spread sand and fertilizers, roll smooth surfaces, and aerating. They are also used to transport staff, tools and heavy materials such as sand, gravel, soil or sod around the course. Tractors fulfill many versatile jobs needed for on-course tasks, and their power is vital. LS Tractor offers several ideal tractor models for such tasks, and the affordability that fits nicely in a golf superintendent’s budget.

The presence of LS Tractor at the GCSAA Conference was appreciated by visitors. No other event attracts more golf professionals and decision makers in the golf course and facility management industry. Our goals at booth 5407 were to identify new customers, strengthen current relationships with clients, network, and promote LS Tractor brand awareness. One sign at the LS booth read, “Building a new course or maintaining one? We have the tractor and implements to help get the job done.” Visitors enjoyed seeing our LS MT357H model with turf tires fit for golf courses on display in person, and connecting with LS representatives on site. Justin Tylus, LS Tractor CRM Specialist stated, “Most of the show comprised of golf course superintendents nationwide looking at new equipment upgrades for the 2025 season”. LS Tractor booth representatives were excited to address questions about where to find LS Tractors, the size of tractors available, implements, turf tires, and current golf courses that carry a fleet of LS Tractors.

LS Tractor has great respect for the role of each person in the golf industry who visited our booth during the conference. Golf course maintenance is a specialized discipline that requires specific and quality equipment. Together, we can make a significant impact not only on the golf professionals that use our equipment, but also on the golfers who benefit from their use. March is Women’s History Month in the United States, making it the perfect time to recognize and honor women in the agricultural industry. Did you know that 36% of US farmers are women and 56% of all farms have at least one female decision maker? Women have played a crucial role in agricultural history, and continue to grow in the industry today. Women historically managed crops and livestock, planted, and harvested. Today, their agricultural roles have expanded to include agribusiness, landowners, entrepreneurs, researchers, and policy makers.

LS Tractor is proud to recognize that many of our tractor owners and dealership owners are women. This month we would like to highlight Rachel Robison, owner of Robison Equipment Company, Inc. The dealership, out of Thompson, Ohio, is a 3rd generation family-owned business. Rachel’s grandfather started the business in 1945 selling tractors from the Minneapolis Moline line. They took on LS Tractors when LS first came to the market as their own entity. Rachel says, “Our dealership stands out because we are a 3rd generation dealership that has been in the same family and same location for 80 years! We pride ourselves on our dedication to our customers and the ag community.” Today, LS Tractor is the backbone of the dealership, offering quality and affordable products.

Although Robison Equipment Company, Inc has been passed down through generations, it has not always been easy. Even though Rachel wasn’t new to the agriculture scene, as she has a love of everything equine, she previously worked in the healthcare industry. She struggled finding her footing in the business, especially during the COVID pandemic. However, just at the right time, she was invited to participate in a business development class. Through the course, Rachel learned the business structure she was missing, which in her words, “was life changing”. She gained the structure and confidence she needed to manage the business through COVID and beyond. As a family dealership, they do it all! Rachel has been the leading figure in modernizing the business.

Rachel is certainly invested in her dealership and customers, and owns two LS Tractors herself. Currently, her family raises Percheron Draft horses and a crop farm. Their LS Tractors work every day to manage and care for the farm making hay, planting corn, and caring for the horses. For the Robisons, the best feature of LS Tractors is the affordability. In a time when everyone is counting money, they are able to offer a great product at an affordable price.

Rachel is not the only strong woman in her family. She and her husband are raising two daughters, who they hope to inspire to continue in the ag industry. Rachel was quick to share, “Our goal for our business is to hand it over to our daughters at the 100-year mark. Watching our daughters take the business into the next century is a moment we look forward to with pride in our hearts.” As a female role model, Rachel wants her daughters to see a strong, successful woman in a male dominated industry, and hopes they will continue in her footsteps. Her favorite role in the business is having the opportunity to talk with new customers to find out what they need for their farms, then fitting them with the right LS Tractor to fulfil those needs. We commend and congratulate Rachel for her hard work and dedication toward continuing and growing her family business, as well as putting the needs of her customers first. She is an inspiration not only to her daughters, but to all women in the agricultural industry. Rachel says her favorite color is LS Blue, and we think it’s definitely your color!

Recently, LS Tractor had the privilege to represent our brand at another historically large trade show. SIMAQ, The Largest Agricultural Show in Eastern Canada, began in 1993. This year, SIMAQ hosted over 14,000 attendees in a three-day period. The event took place at the Expocité Fair Center in Quebec, QC January 30-31 and February 1, 2025. This is a massive agricultural event, and the largest exhibition held annually in the National Capital.

The event has become a farmer tradition, and this year did not disappoint with an array of innovative machinery and equipment. These shows give farmers the opportunity to shop around and evaluate possibilities for future investments. Farmers are customers who perform numerous diverse jobs. Not only can attendees explore traditional equipment for their daily needs, but also how to implement mechanization and robotization which can enhance their operations.

The 2025 theme was “It’s a Rendezvous at SIMAQ”. There were more than 1,550 kiosk exhibits, and LS Tractor was one of 11 tractor companies on display. Local LS Tractor participating dealers included Les Tracteurs Du Fjord Inc. and Ressorts Robert – Traction Megantic. Robert Cenzon, LS Tractor Product Manager explains “The three-day event allows the dealer to expand their business within the region. It also gives the dealers time to connect with show attendees and answer questions about implements and options for our tractors.” The following LS Tractor models were available for participants to explore:

We were grateful for the opportunity to participate in the SIMAQ show this year. It brought together members of the agricultural equipment and machinery industry, and it was a pleasure to witness participants sharing experiences and collaborating in a welcoming atmosphere.

LS Tractor was excited to participate in the 27th annual Keystone Farm Show in York, Pennsylvania earlier this month. Keystone is the largest commercial farm equipment and service provider trade show in the state of Pennsylvania. The show targets full-time farmers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia, and is one of the fastest growing farm shows on the East Coast. This year, exhibitors set up booths in eight buildings as well as many outside displays. The show’s tagline is “The Farm Show for Farmers”, and features many types of equipment, products and services farmers need to keep their business efficient and profitable. Visitors are able to explore all types of farm equipment, services and products and have access to representatives at each booth to answer questions about their current needs.

The 2025 Keystone Farm Show took place January 7th– 9th at York Fairgrounds. The number of exhibitors has tripled since Keystone started in 1998, and LS Tractor was pleased to be one of over 400 agri-businesses to display equipment, services and products for farm operations. The LS Tractor exhibit showcased four tractor models ranging from sub-compact to utility sizes. “Attendees were impressed with the value of our tractors” said Kevin Pettiford, LS Tractor Marketing Manager. Many visitors expressed appreciation for LS Tractor’s participation and their willingness to assist with which tractor would best meet their needs in terms of horsepower and budget. Many visitors were surprised to learn that LS Tractor prices are lower than their competitors.

A local dealer, Barlow Ag Service and Sales out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, proudly represented LS Tractor and eagerly greeted visitors to assist with inquiries about our tractors. Sales Representative, Tanner Byers has been with Barlow Ag Service since September, and was excited to participate at the LS Tractor exhibit. He enjoyed engaging in giveaways and educating those who stopped by through answering questions and providing brochures. Byers stated “There are several reasons we are winning over customers. We offer financing that stacks up just as well or better than other competing brands.” Byers also shared an attendee’s testimony who was comparing tractor brands. The customer tested out a competitor tractor to a comparable LS Tractor at the show. Not only could he see the front loader from the driver seat of the LS Tractor and could not from the competitor, but the price for the LS Tractor was $10K cheaper! From design to financing to pricing, Byers conveyed why LS Tractor easily wins over customers.

With over 12,000 attendees at this year’s Keystone event, LS Tractor is excited about what we have to offer these potential customers in the agricultural field. Whether someone is a full-time farmer or a common everyday customer, LS Tractor has a model that will fit anyone’s needs. We were honored to participate in the Keystone Farm Show this year, and we look forward to sharing more about our tractors and equipment at several upcoming trade shows. As we prepare to close out the end of 2024, the winter season is quickly approaching.  Winter officially begins in December, bringing cold temperatures and frozen precipitation to many areas across the country. Whether you will be storing your tractor during the winter months or using it to assist with projects like snow removal, it is important to winterize your tractor for longevity, and to prevent costly repairs and replacements in the future.

Winterizing Tips

1. Fuel: Most tractors run on diesel. When outdoor temperatures drop below 20˚ Fahrenheit, wax crystals will form as diesel fuel freezes. These crystals prevent fuel from flowing through a fuel line and the tractor parts are at risk of being clogged and damaged. Adding an anti-gel additive to the fuel prior to cold weather setting in will prevent the wax crystals from forming and keep your tractor running smoothly.  If you happen to own a gas tractor, it is important to drain the fuel if you won’t be using it as gas will become stale over time. Stale gas can also clog parts and prevent the tractor from running properly.

2. Fluids: Winter is a time to check all fluid levels in your tractor and make sure they are filled to the brim. Some primary fluids to check would be engine oil, hydraulic fluid and coolant. When a tractor sits for a period of time, condensation can form in parts of the tractor if there is any room for water. Condensation water mixing with fluids could lead to corrosion, performance issues, and even frozen damage to parts. When fluids are full, condensation has nowhere to form which prevents watered down fluids in your tractor.

3. Battery: It is important to disconnect and remove the battery altogether if you will not be using the tractor during the winter season. Cold weather drains batteries, and they also have the potential to freeze and crack causing leaks. Keep the battery away from freezing conditions if possible and it’s a good idea to occasionally keep it on a battery maintainer or trickle charger.  If you do plan to use the tractor during winter, definitely keep a charge on the battery so it will be ready when needed and to maintain the quality of the battery. Keep in mind that a battery life is about 6-8 years.

4. Oil Change and Maintenance: It’s important to conduct routine maintenance on your tractor once a year.  Changing the oil, transmission fluids, and filters prior to winter storage warrants confidence that your tractor will be well maintained and ready to go when the springtime rush arrives. Another upkeep consideration would be removing any dirt and debris from the radiator to prevent overheating and add antifreeze. Running antifreeze through anything that uses water like a sprayer, prevents corrosion and keeps fittings from cracking. Taking the time to grease and lubricate all moving parts such as bearings and joints is important. This can be done to tractor attachments as well. Finally, don’t forget to make sure all tires are inflated properly. Cold temperatures cause air molecules to slow down and group together, decreasing the air pressure.

5. Repairs: While performing routine maintenance on your tractor, go ahead and take care of any necessary repairs as well.  Tractors are an investment. Spring is too busy to worry over damaged equipment. You will want your tractor to be fully functional in spring.

6. Clean it up: With things slowing down this time of year, it’s the perfect opportunity to give your tractor a good cleaning. This will keep it looking good for a longer period of time. Also remember that dirt can actually freeze to a tractor and if combined with moisture, this can run down the tractor and even cause clogs to happen. A clean tractor is ideal when storing for winter.

7. Winter Storage: Elements can be harsh over winter months, so the location of your tractor is important. If possible, you want to store your tractor in a place where snow and precipitation can’t reach it. A temperature-controlled environment is preferred, but a shed or barn will also work fine. As a last resort, a heavy, waterproof tarp will work. Consider tipping tractor seats forward if not covered with a cab so they will not hold water or be exposed to UV rays. And don’t forget rodent control! In winter months rodents will look for areas to build nests and sleep, and they love to feed on wires. Rodent damage can be common during winter storage and you don’t want to face an expensive repair when it’s time to put your tractor back to use.  Rodent repellant or pest control spray will save you from a big headache in the future.

8. Attachments: Your tractor doesn’t do all the work by itself. Attachments and implements are essential for getting jobs done. It is crucial that you not only winterize your tractor, but also your attachments.  Be sure to clean the top of your bush hog and park it where it doesn’t hold moisture and rust out the deck. You don’t want water to build up and freeze inside your front-end loader, so make sure buckets are tipped forward for storage. PTO shafts can freeze up over winter. Remove PTO shafts, lubricate them and store in a dry, clean place.  The key is keeping attachments and implements clean, lubricated and away from the elements as much as possible to keep them working properly.

9. Review your Owner’s Manual: With less daylight and cold temperatures, we tend to spend more time indoors during winter months than any other season.  It’s a perfect time to browse through your tractor manual and freshen up your knowledge on your model. Reviewing information about your tractor can provide you with knowledge, reminders, and safety tips.

10. Put it to use: For some, winter can be a busy time for tractor use. If you live in a colder climate, you may be faced with a lot of snow. Tractors are the perfect machine for moving snow or pulling someone out of a ditch. LS Tractor offers snow blowers and front blades compatible with most LS models to help with snow removal. If you plan to use your tractor this season, plug the battery into a maintainer to prevent it from draining. Consider tire chains or snow tires for better traction in icy conditions. Check all tractor lights to ensure they are in good working condition for visibility as there are less daylight hours in winter. Be sure to monitor your tractor and address any issues promptly.

Inevitably, winter is coming.  A tractor is an important asset and vital for farming and property upkeep.  We hope you will keep your tractor running as long as possible by winterizing your investment by using these 10 tips this season.

Purchasing a new property can be very exciting. It’s an investment that provides many opportunities such as a new home, farm, business, or recreation. But with that purchase also comes the responsibility of upkeep, or even cleanup, which requires equipment and hard work.  When Mike Tipple of Triple T Acres purchased his property, he had an ongoing list of projects and ideas he wanted to accomplish.  But due to a lack of equipment, these sat idle until he decided to purchase his LS Tractor XR3135.

Mike researched tractors on YouTube and visited various tractor dealers. He was very impressed with Foltz Ag, his local LS dealer in Lancaster, Ohio, as they have been involved in the community and hold high standards for their integrity in the area. Before Mike bought his tractor, they helped him out with a flat tire on his ATV, which told him everything he needed to know about their character.

Mike definitely did his research, and what he found was that LS Tractor offers more premium options for a much better value than other tractor brands. “The same tractor that I purchased from LS would have been thousands of dollars more if it were green or orange.” Now he has over 500 hours on his tractor, and he continues to use it almost daily. He has been impressed with its quality and versatility. For Mike, this has proven that LS is a company here to stay and he is surprised at what he has been able to accomplish with this machine.

Mike listed many personal projects and problems he has been able to address since purchasing his LS Tractor:

Mike says the one word to describe his experience with LS Tractor is “satisfied”.  His experience with LS and his dealer has been great from purchase day to now. They say everything is bigger in Texas. That proved to be true as LS Tractor recently hosted one of its largest annual National Dealer Meetings at the Omni Las Colinas Resort in Irving, Texas. The meeting was held November 3^rd – 5^th 2024 and was a huge success where we welcomed over 400 attendees and 158 tractor dealerships from the US and Canada. Each year, LS Tractor generates an event where all dealers are able to join together and mingle with one another, their business managers, and members of the LS Tractor staff. This gives everyone an opportunity to network, ask questions and share new plans with dealers for the next year. The 2024 meeting shifted gears this year to create more of a sales meeting approach. This has been a tough year for many businesses, and the new VP of Sales, John Grooms, wanted to encourage and educate everyone on his plans for increasing sales in the upcoming year. The theme this year, “LS’s Drive to Thrive”, was all about giving our dealers the playbook to their success in 2025.

On Sunday, dealers arrived at the Omni Resort near Dallas with excitement and enthusiasm. Participants were greeted when they arrived by an LS Tractor display that not only featured several blue LS Tractors, but also one of our special edition LS Mossy Oak Gamekeepers camouflage tractors!

Dealers spent the afternoon registering, checking in and getting acquainted with the beautiful venue. That evening there was a welcome reception in the downstairs ballroom where networking and social time occurred.  Guests were able to relax and enjoy the breeze on the outside porch overlooking Lake Carolyn. Dealers mingled with LS staff and each other as they relished delicious Texas brisket and an open bar at the Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge.

Monday proved to be a full and busy day for all participants. After breakfast, dealers gathered for a general session in the upstairs ballroom. LS Team Members from upper management such as John Grooms and Mr. Shin, LS Mtron CEO, spoke to dealers about LS Tractor’s and dealers’ successes in 2024. Rich Hollady, LS Tractor Director of Marketing said “It was a pleasure to host not only our US and Canadian dealers, but to also have the support of our South Korean Global CEO, Mr. Shin.” Everyone left the morning meeting feeling optimistic about growth in 2025.

After the speeches, dealers attended various break-out sessions in smaller classrooms where different departments presented information about warranties, services, parts, etc. Dealers enjoyed participating in the break-out sessions and learning more about the company. Lunch was enjoyed in between the sessions, and dealers were also able to browse the vendor hall. Many LS Vendors featured their products such as tires, signs, LS merchandise and even financial groups.

After a long, well-deserved break, conference participants enjoyed a tasty dinner serving steak and chicken in the upstairs ballroom.  That evening it was a pleasure to highlight select dealerships during an awards ceremony. All LS Tractor management was on the stage and were delighted to take photos with each awarded dealer(s).  We congratulate and continue to celebrate the following dealerships that were highlighted at the event Monday evening:

The last day of the event was a half-day on Tuesday. Dealers were able to continue meeting with vendors in the vendor hall, attend additional break-out sessions, and/or work on order writing. This year, dealers were encouraged to place orders at the show for a discount. Dealers were energized as they prepared for their journey home.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 2024 Dealer Meeting and are eager to see our dealers “Drive to Thrive” in 2025.  There was tremendous value in the conversations, networking, and learning that was interchanged between LS Dealers and LS Staff as we prepare to move forward into the new year.  We are greatly appreciative of all who ventured to Texas with us to enhance and improve this business. This event “had massive success with the most product orders ever received in one show”, Hollady stated following the meeting. This is a sign of progress for all involved with this company, and we are excited to see what the future brings!

Chances are, you or someone you know have been affected by cancer. Any cancer diagnosis can initiate fear, panic and dread. And for women, about thirty percent of all new cancer diagnoses will be breast cancer. This type of cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women in the United States.  Since 1985, October has been known as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the goal has been to educate and empower women to take control of their breast health.  The National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1991 by Janelle Hail, a breast cancer survivor. Janelle has committed her life to educating women around the world about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. She continues to help women and inspire hope for survival. Though there is no known cure for breast cancer currently, early detection such as routine self-breast exams and annual mammograms are critical to survival.

This year, LS Tractor recognized October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month by displaying their one-of-a-kind candy pink tractor in front of the main plant in Battleboro, N.C.  This tractor was an idea that came to fruition in 2019 thanks to Ray Page, a previous Marketing Partnership Coordinator for LS Tractor.  The color pink was used as it has become a universal symbol for breast cancer awareness. Ray partnered with Adam Wolfe of Dreamworks Motor Sports in Roxboro, N.C. to design and create the LS “Pink Cancer Tractor” as a global reminder that we all know someone affected by cancer. They specifically chose pink to honor breast cancer survivors, remember those who lost the battle, and to encourage those currently facing this diagnosis. Even though the tractor is pink, Adam dedicated the tractor to his grandfather, Horace Wolfe, who battled cancer for over fifteen years before it took his life.  For Ray and Adam, this tractor represents hope and courage for all who have been affected by the disease.

The pink LS MT225E made its first appearance at the 2019 NC State Fair in Raleigh, N.C. A sign on the front loader encouraged spectators to take a picture with the tractor to share with someone battling cancer, or post a picture as a memorial for someone that lost the battle using the hashtag #PinkCancerTractor. The tractor has made an appearance each October since 2019, and has recently gained the attention of several dealers who are interested in purchasing the tractor for display.  LS Tractor is always proud to showcase this one-of-a-kind tractor to honor all people affected by cancer.

Sadly, statistics state that in 2024 more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. But the good news is there are over 4 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. When caught in its earliest stages, the five-year relative survival rate is 99%.  Early detection is crucial, and we at LS Tractor encourage all women to monitor their breast health through monthly self-breast exams, routine clinical breast exams, and annual mammograms for women over the age of 40.  Please visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation website for more information and support.

In our latest video, we sit down with CJ from Mallard 5 (+1) Farmhouse to hear his journey with LS Tractor. 2024 has been a big year for us! To recap, earlier this year we launched our first update to the MT2 and MT2E series featuring our new “LS Family” look. A few months ago, following the MT2, was the launch of the MT4 series and just a month ago we released the new 74 horsepower tractor in our MT7 line, the MT774. If you have been keeping up this far, we just released the MT7101 horsepower tractor, officially completing the new MT7 series.

The new MT7 tractor line is full of power. The MT774 and MT7101 are slam-packed with deluxe features and paramount power, built to handle the toughest tasks on the farm. With its new 74 horsepower engine, it does not require diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and has up to an 8.5% increase in fuel efficiency, which is essential for making the most out of your time working on the homestead.

What we like the most about the new MT7 series is the way these tractors can perform tasks that would typically require a larger framed tractor. That way you can use this powerful machine in tighter spaces that may require some maneuvering. From dawn until dusk, this tractor is ready to plow through mountains of brush, haul tree stumps with ease, all while navigating through tight spaces a bigger tractor could not fit. The loader you will use for your heavy lifting is the same as our MT7101 with a lift capacity of 5,139lbs, to full height at pivot pins.

In LS Tractor’s utility lineup, the addition of the 74-horsepower tractor will add a much-requested variety when it comes to choosing the right LS for your land. This new model will also allow loyal LS customers to upgrade with new and improved features.

Now I know you are dying to know what some of those new features are. The most obvious is the sleek new look, especially the hood, along with a deeper blue body, black accents, and gray rims. The new design isn’t only for show: the redesigned hood allows for improved engine performance and serviceability and the new LED head lights allow for efficient work in on those gloomier days.

Inside the cab you can expect a much roomier feel and an improved layout, including upgrades to the dashboard and controls to make your job easier. In this MT7, the engine is now quieter, and you can feel less vibration in the cab making it the perfect place to be.

MT7 Series

At the beginning of this year, we launched our new MT2 and MT2E Series with a brand-new design and updated features. Before this release, we decided to do some testing. A few of our dealers, some colleagues, and two local colleges helped us out by testing our new products. The testing made sure our products performed successfully in a variety of environments and were ready for our customers. To return the friendly favor, LS Tractor has decided to donate two MT2E tractors to the colleges in hopes to assist in the advancement of agricultural higher education. The two schools that will be receiving the tractors are Edgecombe Community College and Nash Community College, both neighbors of our Headquarters in Battleboro, North Carolina.

Edgecombe Community College

Founded in 1967, Edgecombe Community College (ECC) has been serving the educational, training, and cultural needs of Edgecombe County and surrounding areas. They have two campuses located in Tarboro and Rocky Mount and offer online classes. The college serves about 5,500 individuals annually and in 2023, ECC was named as one of the top 150 institutions by the Aspen Institute.

ECC’s Agribusiness Technology Department will be utilizing the tractor. The Agribusiness Technology Department prepares students to manage agricultural business and agriculturally related operations with diversified corporations. The program aims to equip individuals with the entrepreneurial and technical skills required to manage sustainable, community-focused small farm or agricultural enterprises. Students will have the opportunity to develop hands-on skills by learning to operate, drive, and maintain the tractor.

Nash Community College

Nash Community College is located in Rocky Mount North Carolina and is a public two-year post-secondary educational institution with an open-door admissions policy. Since its establishment in 1967, Nash Community College has annually served around 12,000 individuals. Providing a diverse range of academic programs, 99 in total, the college offers pathways leading to degrees, diplomas, or certificates.

The MT2E’s initial use will be for maintenance staff to maintain the College campus, however the College is in the process of planning to offer an agricultural related continuing education program. Nash Community College has recently began offering a heavy equipment operator course which will utilize the tractor for instructional purposes. Currently, students in the Heavy Equipment Program use the excavator, backhoe, forklift, and a simulated skid steer system. The MT2E with additional implements will be a great addition for students to learn from.

Greg Deans, NCC’s Director of Facilities shares, “Having the opportunity to test one of the LS models, I was very impressed with the overall features of this tractor.”

Importance of Agriculture Higher Education

 LS Tractor recognizes the importance of higher education, especially in the agricultural community, where continuous learning is often essential for career advancement. As one of the latest models in the market, the MT2E will provide students with hands-on experience with machinery they’ll encounter in their professional lives. By donating these tractors, we hope to support numerous students in reaching their goals and progressing toward successful careers in the future.

The official donation will be announced on May 10^th, 2024, at LS Tractor’s new plant’s Grand Opening ceremony in Battleboro, North Carolina. We are happy to have both Edgecombe and Nash Community Colleges there to celebrate with us. We appreciate all you do for our local community, your support in developing students’ growth, and your advocacy for the importance of higher education in agricultural studies.

There are so many delicious summertime crops that you can grow right in your backyard. With minimal effort, many fruits and vegetables thrive in the hot summer months, perfect for enjoying with friends and family or selling successful batches at your local farmer’s market. Make sure to begin sowing after the last frost of the season to ensure plenty of time for seedlings to mature into tasty produce.

Top 5 Summer Crops to Grow with Ease

1. Green beans 

Green beans are very easy to grow and can be enjoyed raw, steamed, or stir-fried. There are a few variations to how green beans grow; some grow on a vine and need a stake or pole for support, and others grow in a small bushy shape and do not need staking.

• Green beans need sun, space, and slightly acid, well-draining soil.
• They grow well in full sun and can be planted throughout the year after frost has passed and then up to 10-12 weeks before the next expected frost.
• They like warm soil about 65 degrees, although excessively high temperatures can weaken and damage the plants.
• The harvest days vary and can range from 50-85 days. The seed packet will be the best estimate for when to harvest.

2. Bell peppers

There are so many varieties of peppers to brighten and spice up your dishes.

• Plant after last spring frost. Plant them 18 to 24 inches apart in a sunny, well-drained spot.
• Pepper plants need at least 6-8 hours of sunlight a day. Water immediately after planting and aim for 1-2 inches per week (or more if its hotter).
• Support each pepper plant with a stake or small tomato cage to help bear the weight once it begins to produce.
• For harvest, you may have to wait until late summer for plants to load up with fruit and for your bells to grow big.

3. Cucumbers

Cucumbers are another easy crop to grow and can be harvested at different times depending on your ideal size.

• Cucumbers grow the best in late spring and summer after the danger of frost has passed. Similarly to green beans, cucumbers like the soil to be at least 65 degrees.
• Cucumbers grow best in well-draining soil that has lots of organic matter like compost. Cucumbers also thrive in full sun and like to have 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
• Cucumbers require consistent watering, especially when the plant starts to flower and fruit. Check the variety for the ideal size for harvest, some can be very small or large depending on the variety.

4. Squash / Zucchini

Squash comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and grow on vines, so they need room to spread out. Grill, roast or steam and enjoy.

• Plant summer squash when all chances of frost have passed; winter squash can be planted mid-summer.
• Squash needs 6 or more hours of sun and rich, well-drained soil.
• Can harvest baby summer squash once they are large enough to eat or wait until they reach full size (usually 6 to 8 inches long).

5. Tomatoes

Tomatoes are a summertime classic, but don’t let this vine-like fruit scare you, they are surprisingly easy to grow and always taste so much better grown at home.

• Tomatoes run on warmth; plant in late spring and early summer and make sure to until last frost to plant.
• Like most of the summer crops, tomatoes also need at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight.
• To grow, you will need to stake or cage the tomato plants to keep them off the ground. Each plant needs plenty of room to grow, at least 2 to 3 feet apart. Water regularly and aim for at least an inch of moisture per week.
• As tomatoes begin to ripen, their color shifts from a lively medium green to a lighter hue, often with subtle pink or yellow blushing. Feel free to harvest for mixed tomatoes or wait until they are vibrant red and feel firm when gently squeezed.

Before purchasing an LS Tractor, Bob’s rural property had more challenges than opportunities. Spread across 5 acres, with 3 of those acres covered in dense woods and construction debris left behind by the previous owner, Bob found himself putting projects on hold. The wooded area was overgrown and unwelcoming, with fallen trees and thick brush making it nearly impassable. Clearing the land and turning it into a usable, beautiful space appeared to be an overwhelming task.

Bob’s search for a solution initially led him to Kubota. Bob passed a local Kubota all the time on his way to Auburn to visit his children and decided to stop by. The Kubota salesperson was pushy with their sales tactics and talked negative about competitors, which ended up pushing Bob away and postponing his search for a tractor yet again.

An unexpected opportunity to audition for an LS Tractor commercial is what introduced Bob to the brand. As luck would have it, both Bob and his son were casted in the commercial, providing firsthand experience of the genuine passion and enthusiasm the LS family had for their product. Within weeks of the shoot, the decision was made to invest in an LS Tractor.

What sold Bob on LS was not just the affordability compared to other brands, but also the genuine enthusiasm and authenticity displayed by the LS team. During the commercial shoot, Bob met a company that wasn’t solely focused on selling a product but sincerely believed in the value it could bring to customers. Bob has worked on

many commercials, where the main goal is usually to get people to spend money. But LS’s commercial felt different; it seemed to honestly express excitement for the product and aimed to inform consumers about what the tractor line could do for them. Bob made his purchase 2 weeks later.

Since purchasing his LS Tractor, Bob has transformed his property. He has cleared 8-10 trees and removed tons of gravel and rocks. Using his bush hog and rake on his MT125, the wooded area has been meticulously manicured. What once seemed like an impossible task has become not only achievable but enjoyable, thanks to Bob’s new LS Tractor.

This year, LS Tractor is proudly celebrating 15 years in the USA and Canada. Did you know that 15 years ago Apple released the iPhone 3, Bitcoin was launched, and The Office was airing live on TV? The world was quite different, huh? 15 years is a significant amount of time, and we are thrilled to celebrate alongside our outstanding dealers, customers, and employees. As part of our tribute, we are sharing stories from those who have been with us every step of the way during this 15-year journey.

Sandy Lake Implement (SLI) has been our proud partner since the very beginning and has been selling LS Tractors since 2009. However, Sandy Lake’s roots in the tractor industry run deep; they established their business in 1954 and are celebrating their 70^th anniversary this year. What an achievement!

Sandy Lake Implement, located in Sandy Lake Pennsylvania, had its humble beginnings in the basement of the original owners’ home. A few years later, they began the process of moving the business from their basement into their own building just next door. Throughout the years, expansions were made, including a showroom, workshop, and office space. In 1982, the original owners entrusted the business to their three employees, passing on the legacy. Through decades of changes, SLI has persevered as a locally owned family business, showing its strong dedication to the local community.

In 2020, Sandy Lake employees Scott and Helena purchased the company and persuaded their spouses to join them in this new adventure. Since then, they have taken on several new OPE brands while remaining loyal to LS and refusing to take on another tractor line.

We asked SLI why they have partnered with us for so many years. They said being able to customize their products to fit their customers’ preferences is essential. They were pleased with our flexibility, as it has allowed them to avoid strict corporate inventory mandates and unnecessary orders. Pairing their sales expertise in tractors, and ability to offer LS branded implements, the partnership was a no brainer. Much like our satisfied customers, Sandy Lake also testifies to the fact that with LS, you truly get more value for your money.

According to Sandy Lake, some of the ways LS Tractor has grown over the last 15 years is by continually expanding our tractor line. Recently, we introduced two new models, the MT2 and MT2E, which come with various new features. Additionally, our brand awareness has grown as we’ve concentrated on marketing efforts, making us more recognizable among small and medium-sized farmers and hobbyists. In recent years, LS has begun providing training sessions for sales and service, and we’ve enhanced customer accessibility to find parts and equipment through our website.

Every day, SLI aims to improve as an LS dealer, surpassing their previous accomplishments. They strive to increase tractor sales, expand their parts inventory, and ensure their technicians stay certified. Their goal is to become LS Tractor’s largest single-location dealership. Sandy Lake is looking forward to the next 15 years with LS. When asked about their vision for the future, they mentioned ongoing growth with a broader range of equipment, including higher horsepower tractors. We like the sound of that! LS Tractor took a ride on the infamous February farm show tour. Two of the largest farm shows in the country just so happen to fall during the same week, and even over-lap event days. While we are not sure why these two events are scheduled this way, we were thrilled to take on the adventure of traveling from one side of the country to the other to see what’s the latest and greatest in the ag industry. We started our trip in Raleigh, North Carolina, and flew to Tulare, California for the World Ag Expo show. After a few days in California, we flew back to the east coast to Louisville, Kentucky for the National Farm Machinery show. Keep reading as we share some background of each event, which LS Tractor products were present, and some interesting sights that were seen!

World Ag Expo – Tulare, California

Up first on our farm show expedition, was the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California. This show is the largest annual outdoor ag show in the US with over 1,200 exhibitors on 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. The attendance is more than 100,000 people each year. LS Tractor has been attending the World Ag show for a few years now and look forward to it each year. This year we had 17 tractors on display and welcomed several of our local California dealers, who eagerly engaged with both new customers and the loyal attendees who make it a tradition to join us at the World Ag show annually.

While enjoying the sun and the beautiful California weather, attendees walked around the show, treated to a wide range of farm equipment. Among the attractions was some impressive state-of-the-art machinery, showcasing the latest innovations in the ag industry. The food at this show was very noteworthy; from hearty breakfast burritos to savory short rib sandwiches, providing yet another reason to drop by. At our booth, we featured our Limited-Edition Mossy Oak Camo tractor, our new MT2 and MT2E models, and some exciting new prototypes. The booth next to ours had a t-shirt cannon going off nearly every hour. It was fun to watch the crowds come up and try to catch a t-shirt…it gave us some ideas…maybe next year, you’ll have to come out to the World Ag Expo to see what we have in store in 2025.

National Farm Machinery Show – Louisville, Kentucky

Our next stop was Louisville, Kentucky for the National Farm Machinery Show. This is the country’s largest indoor farm show. This show is held at the Kentucky Exposition Center and offers 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space with 300,000 in attendance every year. At this show, LS Tractor showcased select models, featuring our new MT2 series and of course our MT122 sitting high and pretty on top of our impressive booth. At our booth, you can see a large LS decal logo, and two counters, one which contained some awesome giveaway items that may have been big enough to fit an actual person inside… you had to be there.

At National Farm, ag equipment comes to shine. This show is all about who is flashier and snazzier. Our spectacular shipping container booth speaks volumes about LS Tractor as a brand. While we can certainly make a stylish impression, at our core, we are hardworking and capable of creating something meaningful from scratch. This show was a lot of fun, lots of families came out to browse the latest and greatest in ag equipment and the kids really enjoyed our Limited-Edition Mossy Oak tractor.

This week marked a successful kick off to the show season for us. 2024 is a big year for LS Tractor, with plenty in store throughout the year. Naturally, we made it a priority to attend both largest agricultural shows in the US.
